A Visit to Karwar

Students of class 5th, 6th and 7th had been on one day tour to Karwar on 29th October 2019. They visited INS Chapel Warship Museum. This is an old war ship featuring exhibits on the Indian Navy. They also got to visit Rock Garden. The rocks, according to officials of the Mines and Geology Department, were formed about 3000-4000 years ago. Such rocks are very hard to break. With the help of artists, the officials decided to use these rocks to create an Eco-garden to attract tourists. Rock Garden showcases the glimpse of Uttara Kannada district. Here we got to see structures of 9 different tribal communities like Gowda, Hallaki, Sidd, Yakshagana to name a few. The main attraction here was the fisherman family Structure. Then they had lunch at River Kali Garden and spend sometime relaxing and enjoying the beautiful river view. On way back students got to spend sometime on the Rabindranath Tagore beach.
